Nestled in the Colorado mountains just outside Estes Park and minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park, The Hitching Post is a rustic outdoor wedding venue designed for small, meaningful celebrations.


Our venue was created specifically for couples who want a relaxed mountain wedding surrounded by nature, family, and close friends. With space for up to 40 guests, The Hitching Post provides the perfect setting for intimate weddings, elopements, and vow renewals.


Set among towering pines, rock outcroppings, and natural forest landscapes, our property offers a quiet, scenic backdrop for your ceremony and reception. Couples and guests enjoy the privacy of our wooded grounds, the charm of a handcrafted ceremony altar, and the warmth of gathering around the fire pit under the Colorado sky.


Unlike large traditional venues, The Hitching Post focuses on simple celebrations in nature—giving couples the freedom to create a wedding that feels authentic and personal.
